CSM George enlisted in the United States Army in 1989 and entered basic training at Fort Jackson, SC. He completed advanced individual training for Eye Specialist (91Y) at Fort Sam Houston, TX.

CSM Georgeís previous assignments include: Eye Technician, C-Company 710th MSB Fort Drum, NY; He deployed to Somalia in support of Operation Restore Hope in 1992; Senior Eye NCO 702nd Charlie MED, Camp Casey, Korea; NCOIC Ophthalmology Department, Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, TX; EO Advisor Aviation Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Stanley, Korea; Senior Health Care NCO, Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon, GA; Platoon Sergeant 1-37 Armor Tank Battalion, Friedberg, Germany; First Sergeant 501st Forward Support Battalion, Friedberg, Germany; He deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 2006 to 2007 while assigned to 501st FSB in Germany. First Sergeant, Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, DC; and G3 Sergeant Major for the Northern Regional Medical Command, Washington, DC.

CSM George most recent position was the G3 Sergeant Major for the Western Regional Medical Command at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA.

CSM George holds a Masterís Degree in Emergency and Disaster Management and, a Bachelorís Degree in Health Care Management from Touro University. He has excelled in every leadership position from squad leader to sergeant major, and he has successfully completed every Non-Commissioned Officer Education System school, to include the Sergeants Major Academy (Class #60). His other military schooling includes: Combat Medic Course, Instructor Course, Equal Opportunity Advisor Course and the First Sergeant Course.

CSM Georgeís awards and decorations include the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal (2 Oak Leaf Clusters), the Army Commendation Medal (4 OLCs), the Army Achievement Medal (1 OLCs), the Good Conduct Medal (8th Award), Meritorious Unit Citation, the Navy Unit Commendation, the Army Service Unit Award, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, the Iraqi Campaign Medal, the Global War on Terrorism, the Humanitarian Medal, the Korean Defense Service Medal, the Noncommissioned Officers Professional Development Ribbon (4th Award), the Army Service Ribbon, and the Overseas Service Ribbon (3rd Award). He is also a member of the prestigious Order of Military Medical Merit.
