Scholarly Activity

Housestaff are required to participate in scholarly activities during their residency. We expect residents to publish at least one paper in a peer reviewed journal during their residency. Of course, there is a very successful mentorship program that enables them to be successful.

Housestaff can choose to do at least one elective month of research during each year of the program. Currently there are multiple ongoing research projects being conducted by residents. Tripler residents are frequent presenters at American College of Physicians (ACP) meetings, and have published multiple journal articles.
