Overview
Welcome to the Army's Central Simulation Committee Medical Simulation Center at Tripler Army Medical Center. Tripler’s MSC operates within, and supports simulation-based medical education. TAMC is a major teaching center that supports 13 physician training programs with more than 220 resident and fellowship positions.
Tripler has graduate programs for nurse anesthetists, physician assistants and health care administrators. A majority of the training programs at TAMC currently have educational programs and curricula using simulation-based medical education in place for their students and regularly utilize the MSC.
The MSC supports an extensive variety of educational courses to resident physicians, nurses and other learners. Courses supported range from basic skill training using task trainers to high-fidelity virtual reality simulation to large scale, interdisciplinary team-training exercises.
In order to optimize the training students receive within the MSC, the MSC conducts ongoing quarterly Faculty Development Courses in simulation-based medical education for the medical educators at TAMC.
