If you scored yourself 7 or higher on each question, you are confident you can perform the skill. It is likely you can teach those skills to a patient. For a score of 6 or lower on any question, you are not confident and probably cannot teach those skills to a patient. Self assess to determine what information/education/mentoring you would need to be a 7 or higher. Seek out that information/education/mentoring to reach the 7 or higher. This can be done through reading, attending classes or working with a nurse skilled in that area. It is your responsibility to seek this information out.
