Services Offered: Refill pick-up. The Refill Pharmacy operates on a mandatory phone-in/web refill request basis. Refills can be obtained by using the Phone-in Refill Service, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Phone: 808-433-6962. Or you may also refill your prescriptions online using the Online Prescription Refill system. Refill requests made before 12:00 PM will be ready for pick-up in 2 business days after 12:00 PM, and refill requests made after 12:00 PM will be ready in 3 business days. Patients may also request to have their prescriptions transferred to TAMC from another MTF or civilian pharmacy. Please allow up to 3 business days to have this completed and bring all of your prescription information into the pharmacy with you.

ID Card Requirements: The patient's military (CAC) or dependent ID card, a front and back photocopy of the ID card, a front and back digital image (phone picture or text message image), or Eligibility Form 490 from the Treasurer's Office (3H) are the accepted forms of Identification. All dependent children age 10 and over should have their own ID card.

TAMC Formulary: To learn about what medications are stocked at the TAMC Outpatient Pharmacies, please visit the TAMC Formulary website. For medications that are not listed on the TAMC formulary, prescriptions may be filled through the Express Scripts Mail Order Pharmacy or a local retail pharmacy.

Transferring Prescriptions: The TAMC Outpatient pharmacy staff is here to help you transfer your prescriptions that were filled at another Military Treatment Facility or civilian pharmacy to us, provided that a few conditions are met. The prescription must have active refills remaining and be on the TAMC formulary. Certain restrictions also apply to controlled substances. Please bring in your old prescription labels to the Outpatient Pharmacy, or call us at 808-433-7880 or 808-433-6248 with all of the prescription information, to get the prescription transfer process started. Please allow at least 3 business days for this to be completed due to different time zones that may been countered when contacting other pharmacies.

Medication Disposal: It is extremely important to properly dispose unused or expired medications. Most medications can be thrown in the household trash; however several precautions should be taken before doing so. Take the medications (tablets or capsules) out of their original container, place them in a sealable bag, mix them with an undesirable substance (such as coffee grounds or kitty litter) and place this into the trash. Make sure to conceal or remove all personal information from the prescription label before throwing this into the trash.There are certain medications that may be especially harmful, even if just one dose is taken by someone other than the person for whom the medicine was prescribe, and are recommended to be flushed down the toilet.

Prescription Quantity Limits: Prescriptions written for non-controlled medications that are usedto treat chronic conditions are limited to a maximum of a 90-day supply with up to 3 refills, if authorized by the prescribing provider. Schedule III-Vcontrolled substances are limited to a maximum of a 30 day supply with up to 2 refills, if authorized by the prescribing provider. Schedule II controlled substances are limited to a 30 day supply, with the exception of medications used to treat ADD/ADHD, which can be written for up to a 90day supply. No refills are authorized on Schedule II controlled substances.
