Family Medicine Residency Program

Aloha and welcome to the Tripler Army Medical Center Family Medicine Residency webpage! We are excited that you are interested in our program. We welcome you to join us for a rotation or a phone interview if you are interested in Family Medicine.

Located on the beautiful island of Oahu, Hawaii, Tripler’s Family Medicine Residency Program offers an outstanding training program which will prepare you to become the best family physician you can be. We have a proud tradition of training outstanding family physicians within the Military Health System since 1991.

Our program is led by some of the most highly trained faculty members of any Family Medicine Program in the nation. Our staff consists of both military and civilian physicians representing both allopathic and osteopathic training with a variety of clinical and operational experience. We have fellowship-trained faculty in sports medicine, obstetrics, and faculty development.

Teamwork and high morale are cornerstones of emphasis in our program. Our residents and faculty share exciting times together from Wednesday morning flag football, dodgeball, ultimate Frisbee and soccer, to annual retreats and outings. We are family-oriented and we encourage building team morale and camaraderie and host group events and functions on a regular basis.

For our osteopathic students, we have a fully functional OMT clinic that receives referrals from all providers in our clinic. You will have ample opportunity to hone your OMT skills with faculty preceptor support.

Our program is thriving and we invite you to see what our residency program has to offer.
